Temporary closure of 1B and 1C corridor at Doon: June 6 to August 19, 2022
Corridors 1B and 1C will be closed from June 6 to August 19 for renovations. The scope of the project runs from the main cafeteria entrance at 1B26 to the E wing link at 1C20, and includes corridor branches to 1C30 and the 1B Blue Room. Access will be limited to contractors and essential college employees. There will be no access to academic or administrative spaces in the area during the project.
Temporary closure of Door 6 at Doon: June 14 to August 15, 2022
Door 6 of the Doon Main Building will be temporarily closed from June 14 to August 15 due to E Wing renovations. The closure includes the second-floor lobby area. Students and employees will not have access to this area during the closure. Directional signage will be provided to redirect students and employees during this time.
Electrical shutdown at Doon: September 3 to September 4, 2022
All buildings of the Doon campus will be closed due to an electrical shutdown on Saturday, September 3 from 6 a.m. until Sunday, September 4 at 10 p.m. Students and employees will not have access to the campus buildings during this time. The campus will be closed and there will be no utility power. Emergency power will be operational. This shutdown is required for a generation upgrade, and to replace the electrical meter by Kitchener-Wilmot hydro.
Temporary water shutdown at Doon Main Building 2A & 3A wings: August 22, 2022
There will be a temporary water shutdown in the 2A and 3A wings of the Doon campus (Doon Main Building) from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, August 22. The water source will be interrupted for a maximum of four hours.
Construction at Doon campus A-wing: October 25, 2021 to August 2022
Due to construction in the A-wing at Doon, the 2A200 corridor will be closed from October 25, 2021 to August 2022. During the closure, there will be no access to doors 1 or 2. Employees and students are reminded to use alternative corridors and follow posted signage during construction. As a result of the construction, parking lot 6 will also be closed until August 2022. Parking lots will continue to be monitored by Security Services – employees are reminded to follow posted signage as well as parking and traffic regulations while on site.
