SIIP TIP Bridge
Taking Interest in People: Intergenerational Bridges Between Youth and People Living with Dementia (TIP-Bridge) is an online, virtual group activities program for high school and college students, faculty, and people living with dementia and their care partners to come together, learn together and participate in engaging activities.
This 10-week program includes weekly educational sessions on topics related to dementia including: Arts & Dementia, Dementia-Friendly Communities, Communication, as well as virtual one-on-one engagement sessions (art, poetry, trivia, music) with people living with dementia within the Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge regions. This project is supported by the Supporting Inclusion through Intergenerational Partnerships (SIIP) project at the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA). SIIP is funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.
